Supporting local means supporting our neighbors thrive. How do we learn from one another as experts in our communities? How do we cultivate a local economy that supports where we live, work, and grow? The Supporting Local series aims to share stories of everyday Angelenos. Let us deeply listen to our neighbors’ stories and learn from their journeys. Together, we can show up for each other by improving how we eat, shop, and give!

SUPPORTING LOCAL ENTREPRENEURS

As we dialogue with our local entrepreneurs, we want to learn about what motivates as they grow and learn. Check out some interviews below! Here are some starter questions we’re asking:

  • Who are you, what do you do, and where are you located?

  • What’s your favorite thing in your business?

  • What skill are you exercising in this role that you didn’t anticipate?

  • If money was no object, what would you like for your business?

  • What advice would you give new entrepreneurs?

SUPPORTING LOCAL SUPPLY CHAINS

Our food comes from people and places.

Learn more about our local supply chain as we explore and share ways in which we are working together to support local from the first to the last mile of our food. We are teaming up with Elemmay Productions (Point of Origin) to tell the story of our Farm Fresh LA program, an (urban) farm to corner store program that supported CalFresh shoppers. Check out these still frames as a preview!
