Our vision
We believe food is a powerful connector across sectors, intersecting communities from businesses, government, and organizations working on food. Collectively we can create systemic change where Good Food for All is possible, and food is grown equitably and in a way that respects all people and the environment.
The Good Food for All Agenda is a collective policy platform reflecting the power of food for community health, environmental stewardship and a fair economy, and represents the priorities of the broader food movement in Los Angeles. The LA Food Policy Council is currently revising the Good Food For All Agenda. The revised GFFA agenda will be released in January 2026, and will serve as a guide for our organization from 2026 through 2029.
The original Good Food for All Agenda was created in 2010 through the efforts of the Food Policy Task Force convened by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

We reside, work, and cultivate food
on unceded Indigenous homelands.
We acknowledge and honor the descendants of the Tongva, Kizh, and Gabrieleño peoples as the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar (the Los Angeles Basin and the Southern Channel Islands). We pay our respects to the Honuukvetam (Ancestors), ‘Ahiihirom (Elders) and ‘Eyoohiinkem (our relatives/relations) past, present and emerging.
As part of a greater foodshed, we would also like to pay respect to and honor the Chumash, Tataviam, Serrano, Kitanemuk, ʔíviĨuqaletem, Acjachemen, Payómkawichum, and any other tribal group possibly not mentioned. As a Food Policy Council for Los Angeles we recognize this land acknowledgment is limited and engagement is an ongoing process of learning and accountability.
