Food Waste Prevention Rescue Working Group Meeting

The Food Resource Recovery Working Group seeks to advance policy goals that support a comprehensive vision for food recovery work, one that bridges and unites food assistance & food recycling advocates to address hunger, food access, good jobs, sustainability & thriving urban farms.
Working Group Mission Statement: Eliminate the one million tons of food waste that is send to LA’s landfills every year through policy strategies that address the recovery of food resources for consumption (source reduction and improving food security), livestock feed, energy and compost, while supporting high environmental, social and worker standards and our local urban farms and soils.
