LAUSD School Board Candidates: Weigh in on Food Policy

March 7th Election:

To help members of the LAFPC Network make informed voting decisions, the Los Angeles Food Policy Council invited all of the candidates running for Los Angeles Unified School District’s school board to share their vision for how LAUSD can build on existing initiatives and/or create even more innovative solutions to promote Good Food for all.  Candidates are running for seats in LAUSD District 2 (Central LA), District 4 (Westside & Valley), and District 6 (Northeast LA).

Each candidate was sent a food policy briefing with five questions that were created with input from the Los Angeles Food Policy Council’s diverse network of food system organizations.  Please click on the images below to read each candidate’s statement on school food policy.
