Our current food system is broken, but Los Angeles is taking action. The LA-based television station, KCET, has launched its newest online Departures video series titled “Good Food LA: Changing Course”
KCET Departures captured stories from the game-changers in L.A. during Good Food Day LA, a citywide event held on March 31st by the Los Angeles Food Policy Council and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa We Serve LA Program. The interviews show a variety of perspectives on the current food situation affecting Los Angeles locally, regionally, nationally and even globally. The individuals featured in the interactive documentary range from farmers and community gardeners, to agricultural experts, to people working to change local food policy.
